SUMMARY
To effectively be able to hang metal products to be powder coated successfully.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Employees in this position may be required to work different schedules including but not limited to days, nights, swing shifts and 4/10 schedules. These schedules may rotate and change at any time. Employee needs to be flexible and able to work any shift required.
Punctuality: Employee is expected to be at work on time. Being able to manage your time wisely will help you with that.
Employee is expected to observe a neat, well-groomed appearance, favorable impression on the public and you fellow workers.
Observe and follow all the safety procedures at all times.
Be able to read work orders and understand instructions for hanging.
To be able to safely hang product with the least amount of hanging devices.
To be able to safely move loaded carts around the warehouse and to move carts in and out of a 450 degree oven.
To be able to hang products so they will effectively be washed and powder coated successfully.
To maintain a clean working environment.
To be able to sand, wash, mask, hang, and package customer product.
To maintain all hanging hooks well organized.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Operates GEMA electrostatic painting equipment to spray negatively charged powder particles onto positively charged workpieces by performing the following duties.

To apply powder coatings effectively to a large variety of materials.
To be able to recognize a properly prepared substrate.
Moves switches and dials to start flow current and to activate powder spraying equipment.
Turns valves and observes gauges to set pressure and to control flow of powder to each spray gun.
Adjusts thermostat to maintain specified temperature in cure ovens.
Inspects painted units for runs, sags, and unpainted areas.
Readjusts pressure valves to control direction and pattern of spray and to correct flaws in coating.
Cleans powder from ceiling and walls of booth, conveyor hooks or grid, and from disks, cones, spray heads, and hoses.
Produce a large quantity of properly coated material with few rejects.
Able to control and monitor the cure cycle.
Understand the basic powder formulations, their applications, and cure requirements.
Be able to care and maintain paint gun and work area.
